I like beer allot and I am not afraid to admit to this I like beer so much I try and find new and exciting ways to let it be a part of my life. Below I have listed my first attempt at making a main course that wasn't at on point frozen and that includes yummy yummy beer. (pictures coming soon)
Gourmet Monetary Ranch Beer Burgers
ingredients
1lb of ground beef, half of a green bell pepper chopped,1/4 a block of cheddar cheese grated, 3 cloves of fresh garlic minced 1/3 q bottle of beer, a dash of thyme, a dash of garlic salt, a dash of black pepper, sliced monetary jack cheese from the deli and ranch dressing, bulkie rolls from the bakery.
Preparing
put the ground beef in a large bowl and add the beer, then in which ever order you choose add all additional ingredients except the monetary jack and ranch dressing. Now here comes the fun part stick your hands in the bowl and squish all the ingredients in with the meat you want everything to be evenly distributed through out the meat. once it's mixed make patty's and cook to your liking. once the cooking is done add the monetary jack and use ranch dressing for a condiment.
I will admit that this is a really simple recipe however I find it absolutely amazing that a cheeseburger can taste that good. Plus this has beer, red meat and cheese in it the only thing that could make it better is bacon and I will probably add that next time. The other great thing about using beer is that you can change the flavor so much just by the choice of beer you use. There you have it...so far cooking is not as difficult as I thought it would be. Thirteen reasons I want to learn to cook
1…. Frozen pizza does not seem as yummy as it used to
2 . I'm tired of asking my boyfriend to make stuff for me all the time.
3 . I am not home as much as I used to be and I can't relay on my mom for home cooked meals all the time.
4 .I'm broke and making your own yummy food is cheaper than eating out all the time.
5 . Once I understand the basics of a recipe I can figure out how cheese and bacon will compliment it best and in theory be able to make super recipes be cause everyone knows cheese and bacon and make everything taste better.
6 . Because if Rachel Ray can do it ( over caffeinated wast of space that she is) why can't I?
7 . Because if I am going to surprise Bobby Flay and ask him to throw down with me I would like to know that my food can kick his foods ass.
8 . Because I want to be able to prevent myself from starving to death if Tom ever goes away for longer then 2 hours.
9 . What little cooking I've done has been fun I want to learn more
10. To prove that I can be domestic if I really want to be
11. So I can create my own Kitchen stadium and force my friends to play Iron chief ( this of course would involve people speaking as though they are poorly dubbed because as much as I love Aldon Brown Iron chief America is just not as good as the original.)
12. I want my own cooking show on the food network.
13. because if I try hard enough I know I can do it and do it well ( maybe even better then Tom)

Here goes nothing
I started I'm like a claymore as a catch all blog I was going to rant, rave, craft and cook. Needless to say I was over ambitious and the content jumped around so much that I don't know how would ever even get a reader base. Further more my rants are more a therapeutic outlet for me and less an entertainment source for others. So in a fit of boredom on this oh so rainy day I decided I am going to clean things up a bit, behold playing with fire. Here I will share my victory's and defeat in the kitchen, I'll also post recipes and occasionally ramble about my unhealthy love of the food network. Enjoy!
